Solar for apartment common areas
Lifts, water pumps, STP and common lighting run continuously on a commercial tariff, and that bill lands on every flat as maintenance. This is also the one business segment with a central subsidy attached.

Questions people ask
Who owns the system, the society or the residents?
The registered society, in almost every case. It holds the common-area electricity connection, so it is the eligible applicant and the asset sits on its books. The benefit reaches residents through lower maintenance charges.
What approvals does the society need?
A resolution authorising the installation, passed under your bye-laws. We will provide the technical proposal and generation estimate for the meeting, and attend to answer questions if that helps.
Can individual flats install their own panels too?
Only with their own connection and their own roof allocation, which most apartment buildings cannot provide. For the overwhelming majority of societies, a common-area system serving shared load is the practical route.
How is the saving shared between flats?
It reduces the common-area electricity bill, which flows through the maintenance charge in whatever proportion your society already uses. No separate metering or apportionment is needed.

That plus a roof plan is enough for a first-pass sizing and a realistic payback. If it does not stack up for your site, we will tell you.
