Questions people ask
How long does installation take?
The work on your roof takes two to four days. The whole process, from site survey to a commissioned and net-metered system, typically runs four to eight weeks — most of that is DISCOM approval and meter installation, which we handle for you.
How much roof do I need per kilowatt?
Roughly 75 sq ft per kW for a standard roof-mounted array, and about 100 sq ft per kW for an elevated structure that keeps the terrace usable underneath. Both figures already include row spacing and walkway allowance.
Does the roof have to face south?
It helps, but it is rarely decisive in southern India. A south-facing tilt gives the best annual yield; east and west orientations typically lose in the region of 10–15%, which is usually worth accepting rather than shrinking the array. What genuinely matters is shade.
Can I put panels on a sloped tile roof?
Yes, with mounting designed for the tile profile so the waterproofing is not compromised. A sloped roof already facing a reasonable direction can be simpler and cheaper than a flat terrace, because no tilt structure is needed.
Does the price include net metering and approvals?
Yes. Application, feasibility approval, the bidirectional meter and DISCOM inspection are a line item in our cost breakdown. You should never have to visit a DISCOM office yourself.
